Is this worth a bug report or just change the help file?

To quote the help file for a button and several others

(default is the previously used height)

Compare that to the behaviour of this code.

;
$Gw = 450
$Gh = 400
$Frm_main = GUICreate("It's mine so leave it alone.", $Gw, $Gh)
$In_Lookup = GUICtrlCreateInput("Enter whatever you want", 10,10, 250, 20)
$btn_Go = GUICtrlCreateButton("Go", 290, 10, 40, 20)
$Btn_Copy = GUICtrlCreateButton("Copy", 360, 10)
$Edit_Results = GUICtrlCreateEdit("", 10, 40, $Gw-20, $Gh - 50, BitOR(0x0800, 0x00200000, 0x00100000))
GUISetState()

While 1
   $gMsg = GUIGetMsg()
   Switch $gMsg
      Case -3
         Exit
      Case Else
   EndSwitch
Wend
;

Of course entering the dimensions solves the issue. I don't even remember when I first spotted this behaviour but it's been this way for several versions now.

I noticed that too. Default is auto size based on content.

Thats right. It has been this way for a long time but I'm not at all sure that it merits changing. Just removing the default lines from the help file would probably suffice.
