ljzrelak Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Let me start by saying that I have very little scripting experience and only dabble in AutoIt from time to time and mainly for scripting installations. Normally I can use the WinWaitActive command in order to progress in installations, or a Sleep command when necessary but I wanted to know if there is a better way to progress? I am trying to script office 2007 and the window names do not change throughout the installation process and I was able to get by that pretty easily for most of the installation save for when the install actually occurs. It takes quite a while and I don't want to use the sleep command as it can vary from machine to machine with that long of an installation. Do you have any suggestions or am I pretty much stuck with using Sleep?
