Recommended Posts

quick question:

I cant find it in the help doc. How can i put avariable in a string.

e.i

$text = ("text")

$var = string("setacl C:\test\$text -n -r ")

MsgBox (0, "title", $var)

Thanks.

In case you mean some other than Kip thought, look in the help for AutoItSeOption and then see the ExpandVarStrings parameter. Then you canm do this

opt("ExpandVarStrings",1)

$text = "text"
$var = "setacl C:\test\$text$ -n -r "; note the variable name must have $ before and $ after!
MsgBox (0, "title", $var)
