_IEloadwait problem

Recommended Posts

So ive got a bunch of code, then lets say a controlclick on a flash button and _IEloadwait afterwards. It is supposed to wait for a new site to load after the button is clicked and then continue the code but it seems that sometimes the controlclick on a flash button has a delay and the _ieloadwait skips the loading and makes a mess. So i am looking for the most stable solution to fix this. I was thinking a simple Sleep(1000) but then again what if IE hangs for some time(unlikely but possible) and _IEloadwait still skips it? Also i dont want to put like a Sleep(10000) just to be sure because i am going with the most stable and fast code there is. So is there anything else i can do?

Perhaps monitor the URL? _IEPropertyGet, "locationurl"

Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?

Reproducer: a small (the smallest?) piece of stand-alone code that demonstrates your trouble
