I'm working for a portable application and this is needed to identify it even if it is formated. If possible please post any simple example! Thanks in advance friends! GodlessSinner Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 (edited) Maybe you search for it: DriveGetSerial ( "path" ) $var = DriveGetSerial( "c:\" ) MsgBox(4096, "Serial Number: ", $var) It can be used for return ID's of fixed drives and removal: CD,DVD,FLASH-memory, etc.. The perfect solution!!! --------------- Vitas, thanks for trying to help, anyway I was asking for unique device id that does not change after I format the drive. By the way, When we format the drive, the serial number changes, that's why I could'n t use device serial number. Anyway Thanks.
