Guest Manuel Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 I'm trying to create directories using a variable that I get using the inputbox .. Here's the script : $pcname = InputBox("Create computer template ...", "Pcname ? ...", "", "", 300, 150, -1, -1) DirCreate("e:\computer templates\$pcname") The result I get is a directory called : e:\computer templates\$pcname instead of a directory with the computer's name. Any bright minds who can help me with this .. ? Thanks a lot !

GEOSoft Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 (edited) You may be doing it all the hard way. If you want the folder to use the computers network name then just use DirCreate ("e:\computer templates\"&@ComputerName) If you want to give them the opportunity to use the computer name or change it to something else then use $pcname = InputBox ('Create computer template.... ','Pcname ?...',@ComputerName,'',300,150,-1,-1) DirCreate("e:\computer templates\"&$pcname) Edited February 11, 2004 by GEOSoft George Question about decompiling code?
