    I'm trying to implement a GUI slider as a way to control audio playback and have been looking over the examples, some of which make use of "dummy" controls. It's not apparent to me why dummy controls are used. Would someone be so kind as to explain dummy controls? Ultimately, I'd like to have a label display the audio track elapsed play time while the slider creeps along. Thank you in advance....
