  1. Hiya guys, I've had a search for the answer on the forum but can only find limited help. I'm looking to open a tab delimited txt file in Excel. I have tried using the _ExcelBookOpen function but it throws out an error each time I run the script. I was wondering if there was any alternative such as using Run or ExecuteShell to open the file with Excel...or if anybody knew how to solve the problems I've having with _ExcelBookOpen...here is the message I get: Line 189 If $sPassword = "" And $sWritePassword = "" Then .WorkBooks.Open($sFilePath, Default, $fReadOnly) If $sPassword = "" And $sWritePassword = "" Then .WorkBooks.Open($sFilePath, Default, $fReadOnly)^ERROR Error: The requested action with this object has failed. Thanks for your help Mark
