AdmiralAlkex Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 The usual stuff, like mp3 wav and propably a few more. You could just try playing your file, and if you hear something it works >_< But why do you ask? If you are making a media player it would be better to use some other UDF. .Some of my scripts: ShiftER, Codec-Control, Resolution switcher for HTC ShiftSome of my UDFs: SDL UDF, SetDefaultDllDirectories, Converting GDI+ Bitmap/Image to SDL Surface
Moderators Melba23 Posted August 19, 2009 Moderators Posted August 19, 2009 Info,The Sound.au3 UDF uses the WINMM.DLL. Theoretically it will work on any format for which Windows has a CODEC installed. Personally I have used it for MP3, WMA and WAV files. Please let me know if it works for others. I know the _SoundLen function uses the Windows properties values for anything other than MP3, because I wrote it that way! So if it does not work for the format you want to use and you want to write an addition to the UDF, please let me know. New code is always welcome - as long as it works... >_< M23 Any of my own code posted anywhere on the forum is available for use by others without any restriction of any kind Open spoiler to see my UDFs: Spoiler ArrayMultiColSort ---- Sort arrays on multiple columnsChooseFileFolder ---- Single and multiple selections from specified path treeview listingDate_Time_Convert -- Easily convert date/time formats, including the language usedExtMsgBox --------- A highly customisable replacement for MsgBoxGUIExtender -------- Extend and retract multiple sections within a GUIGUIFrame ---------- Subdivide GUIs into many adjustable framesGUIListViewEx ------- Insert, delete, move, drag, sort, edit and colour ListView itemsGUITreeViewEx ------ Check/clear parent and child checkboxes in a TreeViewMarquee ----------- Scrolling tickertape GUIsNoFocusLines ------- Remove the dotted focus lines from buttons, sliders, radios and checkboxesNotify ------------- Small notifications on the edge of the displayScrollbars ----------Automatically sized scrollbars with a single commandStringSize ---------- Automatically size controls to fit textToast -------------- Small GUIs which pop out of the notification area

AdmiralAlkex Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Alkex, I'm making a simple alarm clock. >_<Melba, thanks. Well then _SoundOpen() should work as long as you don't use a too exotic file. MP3 or WMA should work fine (most of the time anyway, it's far from as perfect as Melba makes it sound). .Some of my scripts: ShiftER, Codec-Control, Resolution switcher for HTC ShiftSome of my UDFs: SDL UDF, SetDefaultDllDirectories, Converting GDI+ Bitmap/Image to SDL Surface
