I know that Windows 7 is not officially supported by AutoIt, but I wanted to see if someone had a solution for my problem.

I am automating some stuff in Microsoft Paint. I am in need to open items on the menu bar, such as File and Edit. In most applications and older versions of paint, I can use Win MenuSelectItem() control statement to bring up the menu. That function will not work with this version of paint.

I can do this with a ControlSend(), but I find key sends flaky. Anyone know what kind of control I would use to open those menus up?

i think its of the new ribbon-interface. because notepad works...

maybe you can do it with keysend ALT+...

goto paint and press ALT and see what happens...

AutoIt runs fine on Windows 7 for me. You can just go with MouseClicks if you need to.

For those who are asking questions, look in the help file first. I'm tired of people asking stupid questions about how to do things when 10 seconds in the help file could solve their problem.

They already have a punishment system for abuse.
... and his his name is Valik.
www.minikori.com
