Moderators Melba23 Posted September 27, 2009 Moderators Share Posted September 27, 2009 Nephentes, I have ususally used something along these lines: $sString = "Hello World" $sChar = "o" $iCount = StringRegExpReplace($sString, $sChar, $sChar, 0) ConsoleWrite(@extended & @CRLF) I hope this helps. cageman
this is my first thought: Func occurrences($string,$compared) Local $array,$occurrences,$i $array=StringSplit($string, "") $occurrences=0 for $i = 1 to $array[0] step 1 If $array[$i]=$compared Then $occurrences=$occurrences+1 Endif next Endfunc something like that should work ?
