Info
It works just fine for me with a .wav file. If it's just misses a second if the file has a .mid format, it can be solved by: MsgBox(0,0,_SoundLength(_SoundOpen("heavy.mid"),2)+1) Edited October 4, 2009 by Info
E1M1
does it works only with wav? oh it works with mp3 too, but not with mid Edited October 4, 2009 by E1M1 edited
Info
Did you try what I said? Maybe it just has a one second delay with .mid files. Edited October 4, 2009 by Info

Moderators Melba23 Posted October 4, 2009 Moderators Share Posted October 4, 2009 Hi there,_SoundLength will work with all files that have their length set in the Windows properties. If the file is an .mp3 - and the Windows length property is not set - the function tries to get a length value in the following order: a Xing header for VBR-encoded files, a TLEN ID3 tag, the length returned by MCIDLL (which is often wrong because it assumes everything is CBR-encoded).So if your .mid file has the correct length set in the Windows properties, _SoundLength should return it. If not, all bets are off unless you want to write the equivalent to the cascade above for .mid files.
