temporarily disable tray menu

Recommended Posts

orbs

Hello everyone,

i'm working on a script that is resident in the tray, waiting for the user to select a tray item, and then execute a function.

the function may take a while to complete (more than a few seconds), and while it is executed, the tray menu should be unavailable to the user. i.e. if the user clicks the tray icon while the function is executing, nothing should happen. when the function finishes, the menu should be available again.

so far the only way i came up with for this situation is to delete all menu items before the function begins, and rebuild them all when the function finishes. this makes a mess of the code, plus - i can't delete separators!

is there a simple way to temporarily disable and then re-enable the tray menu?

can anyone suggest a course of action for this issue?

thanks,

Or
