Delete text from log file

7 posts in this topic

Hello,

My script writes results to a log in a simple text file ("text.log").

When the script ends I would like to delete all that was written (all text inside the log).

Is there a command or a function for it?

Thanks in advance!

If you can just delete the file, you can use FileDelete.

I would like to leave the file if possible and delete only the contect...

Check the FileOpen for the correct parameters to use, so it deleetes its contents.

Tsiyoshi,

Open the file to overwrite contents and then immediately close it again:

$hFilehandle = FileOpen("Your_File_Path", 2)
Fileclose($hFilehandle)
