System Tray Icons

First off, I don't know if this is even possible. Essentially, I want to click on a system tray icon even though the system tray will be hidden. Any help, even if it points me away from AutoIt would be greatly appreciated.

I have a program, PC Charge Payment Server, that minimizes to a system tray icon. To get back to the GUI, you need to double click the system tray icon which then brings up a pop up window where you click "OK" or "Cancel". Upon clicking "OK" the GUI comes up.

We are beginning to use an application that hides the Explorer interface and therefore the system tray is inaccessible.

I was hoping to use AutoIt to write an executable that would simulate clicking on the system tray icon.

When I mouse over the icon, it says "PCCharge". The Window Info Tool gives me the following info:

>>>> Window <<<<

ArgoBJ,

First, welcome to the AutoIt forums.

I am afraid that is as far as the good news goes. I know of no way of clicking on a systray icon without the systray being visible - and all my research has turned up no way of getting the systray visible if it is hidden. All I know is in this topic - but perhaps someone else can offer more wisdom (not uncommon! :) ).

My apologies if this is a less-than-satisfactory beginning. Please do stick around and discover more about AutoIt.
