dazza Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 The ShellEexcuteWait help file doesnt state how to specify the file I need to execute... or maybe I'm too dense to spot it. ShellExecuteWait ( "filename" [, "parameters" [, "workingdir" [, "verb" [, showflag]]]] ) I need internet explorer to open a file. How do I put "myfile" in the code below? ShellExecuteWait("IEXPLORE", "", "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer", "open") Many thanks.
dazza Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 That doesnt specify the application to open the file--just the system default. I did discover that IE has its own UDF library. And _IECreate("path") does the job. Hurrah!
Mison Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Good for you, . This script also works: RunWait("explorer C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\search.htm") Hi ;)
GEOSoft Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 $sPath = RegRead("HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\IEXPLORE.EXE", "") If $sPath Then ShellexecuteWait($sPath, "C:\WINDOWS\pchealth\helpctr\System\panels\subpanels\Search.htm") Else ShellexecuteWait("C:\WINDOWS\pchealth\helpctr\System\panels\subpanels\Search.htm") EndIf George Question about decompiling code?
