GEOSoft
I mentioned this quite a while back and I'm wondering if anyone has looked into it. GUICtrlSetImage() using an image contained in an icl file won't work on Win 7. So far I have not discovered a work-around. It's fine in XP but doesn't show the icon at all in W7 whether referenced by name or index. Probably "As Designed" by Microsoft but someplace along the way we are going to need a solution. They seem to be okay of the file is a proper dll file but not if it's a dll created by Icon Workshop. George Question about decompiling code? Lazycat
Guess you skipped Vista, since this don't work on Vista either. Those old icon libraries are 16-bit binaries, Microsoft removed their support since Vista. The only way to support them - directly parsing library and draw icons (the UDFs are available on forums). Or just convert library to 32-bit dll. They would probably be included in the EXE as resources in an ideal world but the app in question uses far too many icons and it was easier to create the library. And you're right, I hated Vista and spent as little time as possible with the system. I still have unused Vista disks here and I always manage to talk people out of wanting it. Win7 will be a differnt story though. George Question about decompiling code?
