Moving Files in a More Direct Way

2 posts in this topic

Hello,

I'm looking to move files in a more direct way instead of copying and pasting.

How can I instruct AutoIT to go to D:\Documents and Settings\T... J....\Desktop\HOME-MASTER-PHP.html and copy it once.Than take that copy go to "D:\Documents and Settings\T... J....\My Documents\One a be HyperVRE Webpages", before dropping off "HOME-MASTER-PHP.html" in the One a be HyperVRE Webpages folder, how can I first create a new folder within "One a be HyperVRE Webpages" naming it after my $Firstline variable(the names vary, for now we'll call it "Thanksgiving". After that folder is created and named how do I then send the "HOME-MASTER-PHP.html" ?

I don't see what the problem is. Can't you just use FileCopy and use 8 for the flag so that a directory is created if needed.

$from = "D:\Documents and Settings\T... J....\Desktop\HOME-MASTER-PHP.html"
$to = "D:\Documents and Settings\T... J....\My Documents\One a be HyperVRE Webpages"& "\" & $Firstline & "\HOME-MASTER-PHP.html"
FileCopy($from,$to,8)
