Cannot hotkey to LCTRL

Recommended Posts

prdfy

I cannot assign a script to the LCTRL key. The script works when mapped to a number, letter or function key. When I try to assign it to the Left Control Key {LCTRL}, it will not function.

HotKeySet("{LCTRL}", "Mailing")

Any ideas?

From that very useful and much under-read Help file:

The following hotkeys cannot be set: Alt, Ctrl, Shift, Win These are the modifier keys themselves! :)

LCtrl cannot be used as a hotkey. In the helpfile entry for hotkeyset there is a list of keys that cannot be used.

Well just ctrl may not work, but you can use ctrl+"letter".

HotKeySet(Chr(1), "Mailing") = Ctrl+a
