setup that look for settings file

Recommended Posts

Hello

I wanna run a setup.exe with a silent install that looks for unattended settings in friinst.txt

Im doing this:

$adminpasswd = "xxxxxxxxxxx"

;Install Friupgrade

$installfriupgrade = "\\KA25\pandainstaller\Fri4Upgrade\setup.exe /s friinst.txt"

RunAs ("Administratör", @ComputerName, $adminpasswd, 0, $installfriupgrade)

The setup starts and copies files then screen flickers and setup exits (cannot locate the friinst.txt)

Hace also tried:

$adminpasswd = "xxxxxxxxxxx"

;Install Friupgrade

$installfriupgrade = "\\KA25\pandainstaller\Fri4Upgrade\setup.exe /s \\KA25\pandainstaller\Fri4Upgrade\friinst.txt"

RunAs ("Administratör", @ComputerName, $adminpasswd, 0, $installfriupgrade)

Same result....please help

Try copying the setup.exe file and friinst.txt to the local drive first, and then run them from there.

Also, change your admin password. This one is too easy to guess. :)

Not sure if this will help at all but for things like this I like to use the INIWRITE/INIREAD function in autoit.

Also about the admin password thing. If you don't want people finding out your admin password by looking at your script you could encrypt it with _StringEncrypt
