sdfg4545
I have used IEAttach many times before, even within the script I am editting now. I am moving the script to a new machine and testing it. On the new machine, I can no longer attach to IE. The window I want to attach to pops up after a successful login in a parent window. These are my attempts, they dont work: $oIE_ReportSelection = _IEAttach("Home Page - Windows Internet Explorer") $oIE_ReportSelection = _IEAttach("Home Page") $oIE_ReportSelection = _IEAttach("[REGEXPTITLE:(?i)Home Page]", "WindowTitle") $hWnd = WinGetHandle("Home Page - Windows Internet Explorer") $oIE_ReportSelection = _IEAttach($hWnd, "hwnd")
funkey
Maybe the title is wrong.Title IE7 : 'Windows Internet Explorer'Title IE6 : 'Microsoft Internet Explorer'Lokks like the same on the first view, but it isn't . Programming today is a race between software engineers striving tobuild bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universetrying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning. DaleHohm
What is different about new machine (adding to reply above)? Vista perhaps? If so, look at the helpfile for _IECreate remarks or upgrade to IE8. Juvigy
If the link of the window is always the same you can try : $oIE_ReportSelection = _IEAttach("www.google.com","url") Works for me on Vista,XP,2000 and IE6,7,
sdfg4545
Problem resolved. DaleHohm: I looked at IECreate, it told me to add 'embedded' (even though it is a distinct window), that worked. Thanks.
