I have a script that needs to reboot the computer several times to install some applications. Currently I prompt the user for their Userid and password and then set the AutoLogin properties in the Registry with that info. I then delete that info when I am done.

Currently I create a custom GUI where I insert a screenshot of the Login Banner for a particular OS. I am just wondering if it's possible to call the Actual Login screen via a DLL call and then trap the variables that were entered into it. NOTE: I only use this script on 2000, XP, 2003

I dont know for sure, but I hope it will be impossible due to security. If any program could show the logon screen, then trojans wouldn't have any problems retrieving a lot more passwords.
