csh
Greetings, 1. I am attempting to read a window title of a child window with GetWinTitle("[active]"). Unfortunately it returns the title of the parent window although the child window is active at the time of the function call. 2. I also have problems reading some text from the child window using the window class name like GetWinText("[CLASS:XXYYZZ]", "") Both functions return 0. csh
Is this a GUI that you wrote in AutoIt or is it a piece of 3rd party software? It's a device properties window from Windows Device manager. When I use GetWinTitle("[active]") on the opened properties window the title I get is "Device manager" which belongs to the parent window. I also fail to read text out of the child windows from any of the device properties windows in Device manager.
