Wrong Text Sent, Send()

i have this script

------------------------

run("C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe")

WinWaitActive("Bing - Windows Internet Explorer")

send("!d")

$metaframe = "https://mfgw.oa.pnrad.net/vpn/index.html"

send($metaframe)

send("{enter}")

-------------------------

this for some reason sends http://..., instead of https:// , (please note the s on the original Send() command in https)

i used a $var as the sendtext because I got the same result using it in "quotes", any particular reason? I noticed it seems to type it out completly, i was hoping a copy.paste using the $metaframe but same result...

any suggestions?

There are those that believe that the perfect heist lies in the preparation.
Some say that it’s all in the timing, seizing the right opportunity. Others even say it’s the ability to leave no trace behind, be a ghost.
