Some newbie help please

3 posts in this topic

I am writing a script for my workplace and I am in the testing stages now, but I keep getting an error on one line.

$daystobench=InputBox('Current Days To Bench', 'How many days before the system gets on the technicians bench? ')

MsgBox(0, 'Input Entered', $daystobench)

Func datetime()

$min=string(@MIN)

$hour=@HOUR

$day=string(@MDAY)

$mon=string(@MON)

$year=string(@YEAR)

If $hour=00 then

$hour="24"

Else

$hour=string(@HOUR)

Endif

$time = $hour & ":" & $min

$date= $mon & "/" & $day & "/" & $year

$dt=$time & " -- " & $date

Return ($dt)

EndFunc

$dt=datetime()

Msgbox(0, "Checked in on: " & $dt & " quoted" & $daystobench & " business days to bench")

The error I get is ERROR: MsgBox() [built-in] called with wrong number of args.

What am I doing wrong?

cgycowboy,

Welcome to the Autoit forum. :D

From the Help file:

MsgBox ( flag, "title", "text" [, timeout [, hwnd]] ) - so minimum of 3 parameters.

From your script

MsgBox(0, 'Input Entered', $daystobench)
       |   |               |
       |   |               param 3
       |   param 2
       param 1

Msgbox(0, "Checked in on: " & $dt & " quoted" & $daystobench & " business days to bench")
       |  |
       |  param 2
       param 1

Cannot see the 3rd parameter in the second MsgBox line - just like the Error message says! :huggles:
