James
I've looked everywhere for this and the only solution given is to use BitOR($CBS_DROPDOWNLIST,$CBS_AUTOHSCROLL), which stops the user from entering their own information into the control. However, by doing this, the scrollbar disappears if you have a lot of entries. Take a look at this: #include <ComboConstants.au3> $GUI = GUICreate("", 625, 443) $cmCountries = GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 232, 64, 145, 25, BitOR($CBS_DROPDOWNLIST,$CBS_AUTOHSCROLL)) GUICtrlSetData(-1, "Afghanistan|Albania|Algeria|Andorra|Angola|Antigua and Barbuda|Argentina|Armenia|Australia|Austria|Azerbaijan|Bahamas|Bahrain|Bangladesh|Barbados|Belarus|Belgium|Belize|Benin|Bhutan|Bolivia|Bosnia and Herzegovina|Botswana|Brazil|Brunei|Bulgaria|Burkina Faso|Burundi|Cambodia|Cameroon|Canada|Cape Verde|Central African Republic|Chad|Chile|China|Colombia|Comoros|Congo (Brazzaville)|Congo, Democratic Republic of the|Costa Rica|Côte d'Ivoire|Croatia|Cuba|Cyprus|Czech Republic|Denmark|Djibouti|Dominica|Dominican Republic|East Timor (Timor Timur)|Ecuador|Egypt|El Salvador|Equatorial Guinea|Eritrea|Estonia|Ethiopia|Fiji|Finland|France|Gabon|Gambia, The|Georgia|Germany|Ghana|Greece|Grenad|Guatemala|Guinea|Guinea-Bissau|Guyana|Haiti|Honduras|Hungary|Iceland|India|Indonesia|Iran|Iraq|Ireland|Israel|Italy|Jamaica|Japan|Jordan|Kazakhstan|Kenya|Kiribati|Korea, North|Korea, South|Kuwait|Kyrgyzstan|Laos|Latvia|Lebanon|Lesotho|Liberia|Libya|Liechtenstein|Lithuania|Luxembourg|Macedonia, Former Yugoslav Republic of|Madagascar|Malawi|Malaysia|Maldives|Mali|Malta|Marshall Islands|Mauritania|Mauritius|Mexico|Micronesia, Federated States of|Moldova|Monaco|Mongolia|Montenegro|Morocco|Mozambique|Myanmar (Burma)|Namibia|Nauru|Nepal|Netherlands|New Zealand|Nicaragua|Niger|Nigeria|Norway|Oman|Pakistan|Palau|Panama|Papua New Guinea|Paraguay|Peru|Philippines|Poland|Portugal|Qatar|Romania|Russia|Rwanda|Saint Kitts and Nevis|Saint Lucia|Saint Vincent and The Grenadines|Samoa|San Marino|Sao Tome and Principe|Saudi Arabia|Senegal|Serbia|Seychelles|Sierra Leone|Singapore|Slovakia|Slovenia|Solomon Islands|Somalia|South Africa|Spain|Sri Lanka|Sudan|Suriname|Swaziland|Sweden|Switzerland|Syria|Taiwan|Tajikistan|Tanzania|Thailand|Togo|Tonga|Trinidad and Tobago|Tunisia|Turkey|Turkmenistan|Tuvalu|Uganda|Ukraine|United Arab Emirates|United Kingdom|United States|Uruguay|Uzbekistan|Vanuatu|Vatican City|Venezuela|Vietnam|Western Sahara|Yemen|Zambia|Zimbabwe") GUISetState(@SW_SHOW) While 1 $nMsg = GUIGetMsg() Switch $nMsg Case -3 Exit EndSwitch WEnd So any solution to this? Moderators Melba23 Posted January 24, 2010 Moderators Share Posted January 24, 2010 JamesBrooks,The scrollbar is missing because in stting the style you have overwritten the default $WS_VSCROLL style. Add it back in and hey presto! $cmCountries = GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 232, 64, 145, 25, BitOr($CBS_DROPDOWNLIST, $WS_VSCROLL))M23 Any of my own code posted anywhere on the forum is available for use by others without any restriction of any kind Open spoiler to see my UDFs: Spoiler ArrayMultiColSort ---- Sort arrays on multiple columnsChooseFileFolder ---- Single and multiple selections from specified path treeview listingDate_Time_Convert -- Easily convert date/time formats, including the language usedExtMsgBox --------- A highly customisable replacement for MsgBoxGUIExtender -------- Extend and retract multiple sections within a GUIGUIFrame ---------- Subdivide GUIs into many adjustable framesGUIListViewEx ------- Insert, delete, move, drag, sort, edit and colour ListView itemsGUITreeViewEx ------ Check/clear parent and child checkboxes in a TreeViewMarquee ----------- Scrolling tickertape GUIsNoFocusLines ------- Remove the dotted focus lines from buttons, sliders, radios and checkboxesNotify ------------- Small notifications on the edge of the displayScrollbars ----------Automatically sized scrollbars with a single commandStringSize ---------- Automatically size controls to fit textToast -------------- Small GUIs which pop out of the notification area
Bowmore
Style should be set as: $cmCountries = GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 232, 64, 145, 25, BitOR($GUI_SS_DEFAULT_COMBO,$CBS_DROPDOWNLIST)) "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the universe trying to build bigger and better idiots.
