Transparent Windows Client Issue

Recommended Posts

AnalogueWarmth

Hi all,

Basically I’m using the AutoIT Window Info tool and just as an example was using notepad, and It was successful at being able to extract basic window info such as the title and class, position , size ,etc.

More importantly and more suited to me was the ‘visible text’ tab which successfully manage to recognise the text I had entered within notepad.

However when attempting to use in conjunction with a bespoke report generated from Microsoft's Product 'Navision' to then try and extract the values, it simply doesn’t see the visible text 

Is it because the class of the window is a Transparent Windows Client ?

Any clues ?

Thanks

I have a similar issue. My company switched to Citrix terminals.

The windows names changed to include -\\Remote and their class changed to "Transparent Windows Client"

Title: UsualWindowName - \\Remote

Class: Transparent Windows Client

The command:

WinWaitActive("UsualWindowName - \\Remote")

Does not work.

How do I activate a "Transparent Windows Client"?

The answer was posted already. Shift F2 shows the real name.
