WinBatch vs AutoIT

4 posts in this topic

Are there any advantages/disadvantages over one or the other?

I am not a programmer but would like to automate some processes for customers. I would like to setup a gui in which the customer could click a button to run a process. Once that process is done go on the the next button and run the second process.

I like the feel of AutoMate but that product does not compile to an exe and lacks a gui for the customer.

Is there a different product I should be looking at?

btw, I did create a little script to open outlook with AutoIT.

Another problem I have is I may use the product for a week and probably not touch it for another 3 months. So, something that self generates code would be very helpful.

Sorry for all the questions but I could not find anything that compared these two products.

WinBatch is free for 30 days, AutoIt is free forever. Also, the compiler for Autoit is 500 bucks less than the compiler for WinBatch..

AFAIK AutoIt can do everything WinBatch can do and as the previous poster said the price is ridiculous.

thanks for the quick replies. I am sure I would not of received such a quick response from WinBatch or any other high dollar software providers.

I am starting the learning process by taking a look at some tutorials.
