tsue Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 hello what other functions that makes a sound exist in autoit instead of beep()
Moderators Melba23 Posted January 30, 2010 Moderators Posted January 30, 2010 tsue,Look at the Sound.au3 UDF - you can find details in the Help file under <User Defined Function Management - Sound Management>. Because it uses an internal Windows DLL, it should allow you to control any sound file for which you have an installed CODEC. It certainly works "out of the box" on .mp3, .wma and .wav files. There is a full library of functions:_SoundOpen - Opens a sound file for use with other _Sound functions. _SoundPlay - Play a sound file. _SoundPause - Pause a playing sound. _SoundResume - Resume a paused sound. _SoundStop - Stop a playing sound. _SoundLength - Returns the length of the soundfile. _SoundPos - Returns the current position of the sound. _SoundSeek - Seeks the sound to the specified position _SoundStatus - Returns the status of the sound (playing, paused, stopped, etc) _SoundClose - Closes a sound previously opened with _SoundOpen.Some of the functions can be used with a simple filename, but it is best to use _SoundOpen to get the $SndID "handle" which lets you access the full range.M23 Any of my own code posted anywhere on the forum is available for use by others without any restriction of any kind Open spoiler to see my UDFs: Spoiler ArrayMultiColSort ---- Sort arrays on multiple columnsChooseFileFolder ---- Single and multiple selections from specified path treeview listingDate_Time_Convert -- Easily convert date/time formats, including the language usedExtMsgBox --------- A highly customisable replacement for MsgBoxGUIExtender -------- Extend and retract multiple sections within a GUIGUIFrame ---------- Subdivide GUIs into many adjustable framesGUIListViewEx ------- Insert, delete, move, drag, sort, edit and colour ListView itemsGUITreeViewEx ------ Check/clear parent and child checkboxes in a TreeViewMarquee ----------- Scrolling tickertape GUIsNoFocusLines ------- Remove the dotted focus lines from buttons, sliders, radios and checkboxesNotify ------------- Small notifications on the edge of the displayScrollbars ----------Automatically sized scrollbars with a single commandStringSize ---------- Automatically size controls to fit textToast -------------- Small GUIs which pop out of the notification area
