IE - trying to simulate a click on a button

Hello,

I am working on a project for work where I need to click on a button within a website that is fairly ominous about its properties (to me at least). I have used autoit a good amount but I am pretty new to the use and structures with the IE UDF.

I've been scouring the web for a site similar to what I'm looking for and the closest I've found is here: http://www.gotfrag.com/portal/forums/thread/328647/

On that page, under each forum thread, there are two icons: one is a plus (+) and one is a minus (-). Ultimately I would like to simulate a click on a button that is programmed into a PACS system with a structure very similar to this gotfrag website.

I've tried several different methods to figure this out; I've even downloaded DebugBar but I'm not getting very far on my own. If anyone could offer some assistance as far as getting autoit to click that button, it would greatly help me in figuring out what I'm after.
