iceberg
ini file looks like this: [config] 1=sp1 2=sp2 3=sp3 4=ie7 5=ie8 code begins here: $data = "iwejdfknxsjkfksdh" $var = IniReadSection("myfile.ini", "config") For $i = 1 To $var[0][0] MsgBox(4096, "", "Key: " & $var[$i][0] & @CRLF & "Value: " & $var[$i][1]) Next $result = StringInStr($data, $var[0][0]) how do i make it such that the $result must do comparison with all the entries in inireadsection, in just 1 line? is it possible? thanks. mouse not found....scroll any mouse to continue. Moderators Melba23 Posted February 1, 2010 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2010 iceberg, This script will only react if the ini value is found in the data: $data = "iwejdfknxsp3jkfksdh" ; Altered so there is a match for sp3 $var = IniReadSection("myfile.ini", "config") For $i = 1 To $var[0][0] If StringInStr($data, $var[$i][1]) Then MsgBox(0, "Found", "Matched " & $var[$i][1]) Next Is that what you were after? iceberg
thanks for the reply Melba23. silly me, i was not clear enough..... maybe it can't be done in just 1 line i guess. but this is what i want.. the codes you provided parses the ini file entries one by one. i was thinking if it is possible to dump all the entries into an array and the compare them in StringInStr. like this i mean.... $data = "iwejdfknxsp3jkfksdh" ; Altered so there is a match for sp3 $var = IniReadSection("myfile.ini", "config") make this $var into an array called...$array then possible to do this? If StringInStr($data, $array) Then MsgBox(0, "Found", "Matched") thanks. mouse not found....scroll any mouse to continue.
Moderators Melba23 Posted February 1, 2010 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2010 iceberg,$var already is an array - that is what you get as a return value from IniReadSection. And you have to use a loop to run through the elements and see if they exist in $data. Why do you want it in only a single line? It only takes 3 at the moment !
