Caps lock status on notification

I am currently using this dll call to get capslock status.

$status = DllCall("user32.dll","long","GetKeyState","long",0x14)

Is it possible to register a message (like WM_NOTIFY) exclusively for caps lock status change? So that I do not need to recursively check if the status has changed or not?

Shafayat,

Trying to detect specific keypresses gets us pretty close to keylogger territory - what works for one, works for all.

Why not use an Adlib function to check the state every so often?

- Why does everybody suspect me making a keylogger? I don't need a keylogger, for Christ's sake.

- I shall do that now when you people aren't willing to help me find another workaround.

Shafayat,

If you bother to read carefully, I merely said that to know how to check for one key automatically gave the power to check for all - nowhere did I accuse you of wanting to do that, but you must see the risk if we did so.

- I shall do that now when you people aren't willing to help me find another workaround.

I am delighted that you find my suggestion useful. Continue to reply in this vein and you might find that they are less forthcoming in the future.

Better relax... will make you last longer in these forums.

... and you know we already went through this in your previous thread so better double the effort to relax.
