Achilles
This is for my daily comics program. I'm trying to make it more efficient. Is there a way that I can view only a line or two of a pages source without downloading the entire page? Lots of comics keep their links on the same line, but the comic name changes, which means I always have to download the source, look at that line and find out where the comic actually is. Anybody have any ideas? I tried searching some but didn't find much... Richard Robertson
No. Best you can do is load the top portion of the page down to where you want it. You'd have to write your own code to handle the http data and then terminate the socket when you're done. Not really clean but possible. Well, actually I might be wrong. There are ways to "resume downloads" so I guess you should be able to request a region. You'd still have to have a custom downloader.
