Hold down a key?

So I tried using the AutoIt3 Help File for holding down a key and it gave me this:

Send("{a down}") ;Holds the A key down
    Send("{a up}") ;Releases the A key

But it just presses the key down once, it doesn't continuously press it down.

I've also tried that testing it out on Notepad, but it just didn't seem to work.

Why did you post and delete? ._.

It does constantly press it down but will not do repeat which only happens on the physical keyboard.

Just make a loop in which you send() the character.
