press apostrophe

All I'm trying to do is make a script that pushes the ` key (apostrophe). I checked the list of simulated key presses and I didn't see the apostrophe. Can this button not be simulated? I'm running Vista64

Thanks,

Welcome to the AutoIt forum!

Simply use Send("`") if you want to send the character typed in your post (Unicode name grave accent). Note that this is not the same than an apostrophe, or more correctly, a single quote.

0x60 ` grave accent

0x27 ' apostrophe

Look in the appendix of the help file, there is an ASCII & ANSI latin 1 table. Not all keys have verbose names.

This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available). An absolute must have in your bookmarks.
Another excellent RegExp tutorial. Don't forget downloading your copy of up-to-date pcretest.exe and pcregrep.exe here
