hot202 Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 hi is there anyway to disable a item in the combobox so it is greayed out so you cant click it? i tryed GUICtrlSetState($ComboBox,$GUI_DISABLE) but that disables the hole combobox anyway to just disable one item?
Moderators Melba23 Posted April 7, 2010 Moderators Posted April 7, 2010 hot202, I do not believe that is possible. However, as it is really easy to set the data in a combo, you can easily remove/reinsert the item you do not want. Here is a short example where a single item is removed from and then reinserted in the list. expandcollapse popup#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> Global $aArray[4] = ["zero", "one", "two", "three"] $hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500) $hCombo = GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 10, 10, 200, 20) _Load_Combo() GUISetState() Sleep(5000) ConsoleWrite("Removing two" & @CRLF) _Load_Combo(2) Sleep(5000) ConsoleWrite("Reinserting two" & @CRLF) _Load_Combo() While 1 Switch GUIGetMsg() Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit EndSwitch WEnd Func _Load_Combo($iIndex = -1) Local $sString = "|" For $i = 0 To UBound($aArray) - 1 If $i <> $iIndex Then $sString &= $aArray[$i] & "|" Next GUICtrlSetData($hCombo, $sString) EndFunc I hope it helps. suthern101 Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Using HTML it is possible to disable certain lines in the combo box on the web. This makes showing trees like Root Branch_#_1 -leaf -leaf -leaf Branch_#_2 -leaf -leaf possible, and only allowing the user to select the leafs. Are we to believe that a browser can create a control on a webpage better than AutoIt? Creating 'unselectable' lines really helps with the organization of long combo lists. Perhaps AutoIt v4 will have this.
