Symbaloo

Recommended Posts

Hello y'all!

I've been using symbaloo for quit some time now and have accumulated a lot of bookmarks (blocks). Since symbaloo has NO backup-option i fear to loose my bookmarks one day.

Could autoit help me with backing up those bookmarks? (i'd be happy with a txt-file with just the URL'S for a start)

What the script should do: (i'll start at the first "page" with symbaloo-blocks/bookmarks in firefox)

-Move to first block, left-mouse-click and hold, drag to centre (edit-block)

-Left-mouse-click (3x) in the bar that holds the URL, copy

-Write to text-file (save textfile)

-move to next block.. etc.. etc..

Can someone give me some pointers?

ps: i just noticed a BIG problem. some blocks have no url (that can be seen/copied) and empty blocks don't do nothing at all. I think it's an impossible task to script that....

I have never even heard of Symbaloo, but it sounds like a web browser? If so, check in the instalation location, usually there is a folder kept somewhere with all the website links. If this is the case, then it will be a piece of cake to back up your favorites.

Hmmm, I can't find anything in the source code or cookies where the links are saved so mouseClick and mouseclickdrag seems like it may be the only way
