SOLVED: listbox help needed!

Recommended Posts

Lets say i got a list box with maybe 5 diffrent inputs.

----------
|Hello   |
|Maybe   |
|Today   |
|Topic   |
|Bonus   |
----------

And I click the item "Today" and uses it in another function, how can I make it so the function removes the item but keeps the other ones intact?

AdamSwe,

Here is one way of doing it: :idea:

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#Include <GuiListBox.au3>

$sList = "|Hello|Maybe|Today|Topic|Bonus|"

$hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500)

$hList = GUICtrlCreateList("", 10, 10, 100, 100)
GUICtrlSetData($hList, $sList)

$hButton = GUICtrlCreateButton("Remove", 10, 120, 80, 30)

GUISetState()

While 1

    Switch GUIGetMsg()
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $hButton
            ; Read selected item
            $sItem = GUICtrlRead($hList)
            ; Remove it from string
            $sList = StringReplace($sList, $sItem & "|", "")
            ; Refill the List
            GUICtrlSetData($hList, $sList)
    EndSwitch

WEnd

Note the use of a leading "|" in the string to force a replacement and not merely an addition to the list. :)
