Help Understanding COM and its objects

I recently found out about COM objects, and that autoit can take advantage of them.

I am sure this post has been made before, so I apologize for duplicating it.

I would like to know if anyone knows some good links for me to read about how to Use COM objects in my code to automate applications.

from what I read it works more intelligently than winwaitactive, and controlclick and the like.

And why do you want our help? For such a general question all we could do is to repeat the helpfile, as it has all you need.

"Obj/COM Reference" for general how to use, and for examples look at the excel, word and IE UDF's that are included with AutoIt.
