GUI Tab help

4 posts in this topic

GUICtrlCreateTab(0,0,500,400)
GUICtrlCreateTabItem("taboutside") ; a tab on the outside
GUICtrlCreateTab(0,60,500,340)
GUICtrlCreateTabItem("tabinside") ; this should be a tab on the inside because a tab was created inside the first tab item
GUICtrlCreateTabItem("") ; close the tab on the inside
GUICtrlCreateTabItem("") ; close the tab on the outside
I'd like to create a tab inside a tab but I was unsuccessful so far. Here is an example of the code I used. Any help is appreciated.

Somewhat cryptically from the help file under GuiCtrlCreateTab():

ONLY one Tab control can be created by window. But a script can creates several windows having a tab in.

OK, so the syntax reads like Google-Translate output, but still...

Edit: GEOSoft posted a link below to an example of a method using child GUIs. Still only one Tab control per GUI, but the child GUIs can each have a tab control. Hinted at, but not clearly said in the help file.

Thank you for that. That was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I knew it could be done; it is done in some Windows applications. So I know what I've got to do now, thanks again.. Happy Days.
