Hey I have a backup that runs every night and it generates a log file. I can open the log file and read it fine, however the log file name is the timestamp so it will be different every night. How can I open the newest log file or the current day(might be better in case there isn't a log file for that day) ? I've looked for examples, but I'm having trouble using the search. Any help to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Tigerweld,

I would look at the date macros (@MDAY, @MON, @YEAR) and use concatenation to get the likely name of the file. You would have to do some nifty maths to work backwards to get the last file if today's did not exist, but that is not too hard to do.

Give it a go - you know where we are if you run into difficulties.
