Creating a Telnet session with Console Telnet STDIN/STDOUT

Recommended Posts

Hi BinaryBrother,

I'm using Console Telnet 2.0, and Autoit v3.2.10.0 (required to use that Autoit version). I had to change AdlibRegister to AdlibEnable but only the name of the function has changed. Using that code, I can only seem to get to the login prompt.. not sure why it's doing that, but it's stuck after that. What OS are you using to host the telnet server? I've been using XP.. so going to try with Win7 now.

Seems like I'm cursed...

Hi BinaryBrother!

Sorry that I never replied! When I ran the code against a Windows 7 Telnet server on my localhost, I had success. However, I had problems whenever the server was not on localhost (e.g. another laptop on the network). I think the issues had to do with the User/privileges, and I got a bit lost on that topic. Either way, I ended up using a cygwin SSHD server instead <http://chinese-watercolor.com/LRP/printsrv/cygwin-sshd.html>. The encryption isn't really necessary, but I had no problems with terminal emulation at all.

Thanks again for all of your help, I really appreciated it.
