MySQL-Connection with AutoIt

Recommended Posts

hi,

I'm a newcomer in AutoIt.

I need some help! How do I connect to a MySQL-Database with a autoit script?

Google.com didn't help me! :-(

Here is my code:

$sqlCon = ObjCreate("ADODB.Connection")
    $sqlCon.Open("Provider=SQLOLEDB; _
    Data Source=127.0.0.1; _
    User ID=root; _
        Password=root;")

What's wrong?

Thanks guys for your help

So things like SQLOLEDB and root don't need to be enclosed in quotes? I'm just stabbing in the dark here.

Is 'SQLOLEDB' the correct Provider for MySQL?

Can an IP address be specified as the Data Source? doesn't it need a database name?

Are line continuation characters valid in a connection string?

I don't run MySQL but many users here do. Try a forum search and you'll find a number of posts as well as MySQL UDF.
