Madji
Hello all. I'm looking for a script or how to build a script that counts down to a specific time. I searched through the site but only found timers that countdown from a time. Does anyone know how to build a script that creates a gui with a countdown to a specific time and date? For example a countdown box that would count down the days, hours, minutes and seconds to a specific time and date. Thanks in advance for any help. Moderators Melba23 Posted June 17, 2010 Moderators Share Posted June 17, 2010 Madji,Welcome to the AutoIt forum. Take a look at _DateDiff in the Help file. Using that on the actual date/time (look at _Date_Time_SystemTimeToDateTimeStr) and your required alarm date/time will give you the various differentials you need. A small GUI with regularly updated labels will give a reasonable display. Just do not update the labels too often - it leads to flickering. Give it a go yourself - you know where we are when you run into diffculties. somdcomputerguy
Also have a look at the _DateAdd UDF, and AutoIt's time and date Macros. - Bruce /*somdcomputerguy */ If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
