Getting and setting DNS servers

So i want to be able to get and set DNS servers because i move around a lot. I need this to be as simple as possible, so I can learn from it I know the general idea is that you post what you have so far and then get help from it, but i have not got anything because i wouldn't know how to go about this.

Sorry i wasnt too clear. I am aware that i can use netsh to set the DNS however this script will be used on a few computers which have different connection names so this :

_RunDOS("netsh inter ip set dns ""Local Area Connection"" static 10.x.x.x")

will not work, because "Local Area Connection" will change. It is this value that i need to get in order to use netsh.
