how to debug te autoIT script in scite editor. How to watch the runtime values?

Ratna,

You cannot see the variable runtime values directly. :party:

You have to add code yourself to debug - I tend to use ConsoleWrite at the points where I want to check the value of a variable. You could also use MsgBox (although that will pause the script until you clear it) or ArrayDisplay (do not forget to include Array.au3 :party: ).

Using Opt("TrayIconDebug", 1) will put the current line number into the tray icon tooltip - very useful if your script hangs at some point. :mellow:

If you are using the full version of SciTE4AutoIt3, then adding #AutoIt3Wrapper_Run_Debug_Mode=y which shows the path you are taking through the script which can also help.

Finally there is a graphical debugger somewhere in the Examples section - but I believe it does not run work well on Visa/Win 7 because of the greater inter-application security.
