Is it possible to use a variable in ControlSend?

As an example, consider the following:

ControlSend("(A) WFM - Windstream Production - PowerTerm Pro Enterprise Suite" , "" , "" , username)

Multiple windows of the same application are open all the time, each window is identified by the letter in paranthesis. Is it possible to use a variable for the letter?

In a word, no. It can be done but that is not the right question. How can you do something like is.

You can get a array of handles to the open windows. When using ControlSend you have to know which window you want to send the text to.

Have a look at WinGetHandle and then ControlGetHandle then you will see once you have the handle you don't need all the paramters.

If you win handles were in an array called aWinHandles then you might be able to do something like ControlSend(WinHandle, "", controlID, username)

danwilli beat me to it. Started the post an hour a go and got distracted.

Post your code because code says more then your words can. SciTe Debug mode - it's magic: #AutoIt3Wrapper_run_debug_mode=Y.
