Screen capture hidden windows

In windows 7 (and vista?) when you mouse over a window in the task bar, it displays a small thumbnail of the window. I tried looking into _ScreenCapture_CaptureWnd but all that does is get the coordinates of the window, and use the original screen shot function on it. Does any one know how to take screen shots of windows that are not visible/minimized?

Invisible windows and off screen windows can be obtained via normal methods.
