motionman95
Code like this doesn't affect it: GUICtrlSetStyle($Combo1, $CBS_SIMPLE) Is there a reason or something that means the style of a Combobox cannot be changed?
Moderators Melba23 Posted July 27, 2010 Moderators Share Posted July 27, 2010 motionman95,Some controls and styles cannot be changed post-creation - looks like this one of them. The Help file for GUICtrlSetStyle does warn you:"Remarks - Some styles cannot be changed dynamically, check MSDN documentation. $CBS_UPPERCASE combo style is one example."You cannot change it using _WinAPI_SetWindowLong and $GWL_STYLE either, by the way. Moderators Melba23 Posted July 27, 2010 Moderators Share Posted July 27, 2010 motionman95, It will not stay out, but it does come out: #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #Include <GuiComboBox.au3> $hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500) $hCombo = GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 10, 10, 200, 20) GUICtrlSetData(-1, "1|2|3|4") $hButton = GUICtrlCreateButton("Show List", 10, 100, 80, 30) GUISetState() While 1 Switch GUIGetMsg() Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit Case $hButton _GUICtrlComboBox_ShowDropDown($hCombo, True) EndSwitch WEnd Any good? Moderators Melba23 Posted July 27, 2010 Moderators Share Posted July 27, 2010 motionmabn95, Could you please post what you did to solve your problem - it might help someone else later. Unless you gave up on the whole idea, of course.
