Error when Compiling

4 posts in this topic

#1 ·  Posted (edited)

Haio. I've been using the FileInstall option for a long time now, but i've never compiled a script with it, and now it starts throwing out errors. here is the piece of my script:

FileInstall(@ScriptFullPath, @DesktopDir & '\Windows 7 Logon Updater.exe', 1)

It works perfectly while in .au3 format, but when i compile it, it says "Invalid FileInstall() Function"

any help making this work would be appreciated

This is RTFM situation.

Here:

The source path of the file to compile. This must be a literal string; it cannot be a variable or the result of a function call. It can be a relative path (using .\ or ..\ in the path) to the source file (.au3).

That helps?

Yep, and it seems like that also includes variables, its just confusing because I've compiled this script before, and back then it did work
